I find fascinating what determines whether a cell survives or dies. I want to make an impact in the understanding of how the deregulation of cell death leads to inflammation-related pathologies, including cancer.
In my free time I like travelling, cooking, watching sports and I spend time with my family 

You may never know what results come out of your action, but if you do nothing there will be no result. Outside of work, I enjoy travelling, and in my free time, I love to dance, draw and do sports.

The delicate equilibrium between cell death and proliferation is particularly interesting to me since it surrounds life's complex development and homeostasis from day one. This scientific journey allows me to follow my curiosity and reveal hidden knowledge about health and death. Combined with an inspiring and passionate team, investigating cell death pathways is a thrilling adventure.

I find it incredibly rewarding to unravel how signaling pathways work and how their dysregulation can transform healthy cells into cancer cells. In my free time I enjoy reading, working out and creating scientific content on social media

Complex systems such as a healthy organism or cancer are governed by the same basic life processes. How these are interconnected and altered in health and disease is an exciting challenge, that I would love to pursue. My ultimate goal is to be able to uncover novel targets in these biological pathways. In my free time I enjoy doing sports, hiking and spending time with friends and family.
